ঈদে গ্রামে বাড়ি যাওয়ায় নিষেধাজ্ঞা দাবি !!

করোনা ভা’ইরাসের সংক্রমণ ঠেকাতে আসন্ন ঈদে গ্রামের বাড়ি যাওয়ার নিষেধাজ্ঞা জারি করার অনুরোধ জানিয়েছে বাংলাদেশ যাত্রী কল্যাণ সমিতি।বুধবার (২৯ এপ্রিল) সকালে গণমাধ্যমে প্রেরিত এক সংবাদ বিবৃতিতে সংগঠনের মহাসচিব মোজাম্মেল হক চৌধুরী এই আহ্বান জানান।

The Bangladesh Passengers Welfare Association has requested for a ban on going to the village on the upcoming Eid to prevent the transmission of corona v’irus.The organization’s secretary general Mozammel Haque Chowdhury made the call in a press statement sent to the media on Wednesday (April 29) morning.

In the statement, he said that every year on Eid-ul-Fitr, more than three and a half crore people from the major cities of the country, including the capital Dhaka, travel to their village homes to spend Eid holidays with their loved ones. As it has been going on for a long time and now it has become a tradition, the people of the city will go home to spend the Eid holidays in this time of lockdown as well. Coronav’irus infection can take terrible forms.

He said many countries around the world, including Indonesia, have already banned Eid village visits to prevent coronavi’rus infections. He also requested the local administration, especially the Upazila Nirbahi Officers, Upazila Chairmen, UP Chairmen and members, to take measures to prevent any returnees from entering the villages in their respective areas.

He also requested the highway police, district police and other law enforcement agencies to increase their activities to stop the movement of people in private vehicles and goods on Eid.
