In the last 24 hours, 15 people have died due to coronavirus in the country. A total of 559 people have died of Covid-19 disease in Bangladesh. Additional Director General (Administration) of the Department of Health, Prof. Dr. in an online briefing on the latest situation of coronavirus on Thursday afternoon. Nasima Sultana gave such information. He said 2,029 people were newly infected with the virus in the last day. So far, a total of forty thousand 321 people have been identified.
He said 9,026 samples had been collected in 49 labs, adding that 9,310 samples had been tested, including samples from the previous day. So far two lakh 75 thousand 6 have been tested.
He said 49 labs have been newly added in Sirajganj. Mansur Ali Medical College.
He said 500 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, adding that 8,425 people have recovered so far. The recognized rate of recovery is 20.69 percent.
The professor further said that the identified death rate is 1.39 percent. Eleven males and four females were analyzed for death. In the division analysis, there are seven in Dhaka and eight in the Chittagong division.
Analyzing the age of death, he said two people between the ages of 31 and 40, five people between the ages of 51 and 60, five people between the ages of 61 and 60, two people between the ages of 61 and 70 and one people between the ages of 91 and 100 have died.
“In the area-wise analysis, there are six in Dhaka city, one in Narayanganj, two in Chittagong city, two in Chittagong district, two in Cox’s Bazar and two in Comilla.”
246 people were taken in isolation in 24 hours, and 136 people were released. At present, 4,984 people are in isolation, according to the Department of Health.
