ব্যাংক ঋণের সুদ মওকুফের ঘোষণা করলেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী !!

প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা করোনাভা’ইরাস ম’হামা’রির কারণে দেশব্যাপী বন্ধের প্রেক্ষিতে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত ব্যাংক ঋণ গ্রহীতাদের দুই মাসের সুদ মওকুফ করতে সরকারের পক্ষ থেকে দুই হাজার কোটি টাকার নতুন আরেকটি প্রণোদনা প্যাকেজ ঘোষণা করেছেন। প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন, ‘আমি এ পর্যন্ত ১৮টি প্যাকেজ দিয়েছি। আর এটা নিয়ে হলো ১৯ নং প্যাকেজ।

যেহেতু নতুন প্যাকেজে গৃহীত ঋণের দুই মাসের সুদ স্থগিত করা হয়েছে, যে সুদের পরিমাণ ১৬ হাজার ৫৪৯ কোটি। সেই স্থগিত সুদের মধ্যে দুই হাজার কোটি টাকা সরকার বাণিজ্যিক ব্যাংকগুলোকে ভর্তুকি হিসেবে প্রদান করবে।’প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা রবিবার সকালে গণভবন থেকে ভিডিও কনফারেন্সের মাধ্যমে সারাদেশের কারিগরি ও মাদ্রাসা বোর্ডসহ ১১টি শিক্ষা বোর্ডের এসএসসি এবং সমমানের পরীক্ষার ফল ঘোষণাকালে এ কথা বলেন।

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has announced another new incentive package of Tk 2,000 crore from the government to waive interest on bank borrowers for two months in the wake of a nationwide shutdown due to the coronavirus epidemic. After discussing the matter with the Finance Minister, Finance Secretary and the Governor of Bangladesh Bank, Sheikh Hasina said, “We have said that for those who have taken loans, we have said that since everything is closed for two months, there will be no need to charge interest on the loans.” We will give them some opportunities there. ‘
