সৌদি প্রবাসীদের জন্য বিমানবন্দরে নতুন নিয়ম – ভুল করলেই পাবেন শা’স্তি !!
সৌদি আরবের বিমানবন্দরে কাস্টম ও বহির্গমন বিভাগ প্রবাসীদের জন্য নতুন নিয়ম জারি করেছে। গত ২৩ জানুয়ারি বাংলাদেশ কনস্যুলেট জেনারেল জেদ্দা দেশটির কর্তৃপক্ষের বরাত দিয়ে নোটিশের মাধ্যমে এ বিষয়ে অবহিত করেছে।
নতুন নিয়মে যেসব বিষয়ে উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে, সৌদি আরবে প্রবেশ ও বহির্গমনকালে দেশটির কাস্টম রুল অনুসারে কোনো প্রবাসী যাত্রীর কাছে নগদ অর্থ, স্বর্ণালংকার, স্বর্ণের বার, মূল্যবান ধাতু, পাথর এবং জুয়েলারি পণ্য যা ৬০,০০০ (ষাট হাজার) সৌদি রিয়ালের সমমান বা এর বেশি দামের হলে সংশ্লিষ্ট যাত্রীদের নির্দিষ্ট ফরম পূরণ করার বিধান বাধ্যতামূলক করা হয়েছে।
এর অমান্য করলে দেশটির প্রচলিত আইন অনুযায়ী শা’স্তির বিধান রয়েছে মর্মে সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষ বিভিন্ন দেশের প্রবাসীদের অবহিত করেছে।
১৬ দিনে সৌদি থেকে খালি হাতে ফিরলেন দেড় হাজার প্রবাসী
বছর শুরু হতে না হতেই মধ্যপ্রাচ্যের দেশ সৌদি আরব থেকে শ্রমিক ফেরা শুরু হয়েছে। গতকাল বৃহস্পতিবার ১০৯ বাংলাদেশিকে ফেরত পাঠিয়েছে সৌদি সরকার। এ নিয়ে এ বছরের ১৬ দিনে খালি হাতে এক হাজার ৬১০ বাংলাদেশি দেশে ফিরলেন।
বৃহস্পতিবার রাত ১১টা ২০ মিনিটে সৌদি এয়ারলাইনসের এসভি ৮০৪ ফ্লাইটে দেশে ফেরেন এসব প্রবাসী। শাহজালাল বিমানবন্দরে নেমে গণমাধ্যমকর্মীদের এসব প্রবাসীর অভিযোগ আকামা (ওয়ার্ক পারমিট) থাকা সত্ত্বেও তাদের ফেরত পাঠিয়েছে সৌদি প্রশাসন।
এমন অভিযোগ করে নোয়াখালীর আজিম হোসেন বলেন, মাত্র দুই মাস আগে সৌদি আরবে গিয়েছিলাম। পাসপোর্টে তিন মাসের ভিসা থাকা সত্ত্বেও বাজারে যাওয়ার পথে পুলিশ আমাকে গ্রেফতার করে। এ সময় কফিলের (নিয়োগকর্তা) সঙ্গে পুলিশ কথা বলিয়ে দিয়ে কাজ হয়নি। তারা আমাকে দেশে পাঠিয়ে দিল।
The Saudi Customs and Customs Department has issued new rules for expatriates. On January 23, Bangladesh Consulate General Jeddah notified the country’s authorities through a notice.
As mentioned in the New Testament, cash, gold jewelry, gold bars, precious metals, stones and jewelry products are valued at or equal to 600,000 (sixty thousand) Saudi Riyals, according to the customs of the country upon entering and exiting Saudi Arabia. Provision has been made compulsory for the concerned passengers to fill certain forms.
In violation of this, the relevant authorities have informed the expatriates of different countries that the provisions of the law are in accordance with the laws of the country.
Sixteen thousand expatriates returned empty-handed from Saudi in 16 days
Since the beginning of the year, workers from the Middle East have returned from Saudi Arabia. The Saudi government sent back 109 Bangladeshis on Thursday. With this, on the 16th day of this year, 1,610 Bangladeshi returned empty-handed.
The migrants returned to Saudi Arabia’s SV804 flight at 11:30 pm on Thursday night. The Saudi administration has sent the media workers back to Shahjalal Airport despite the accusations of the expatriate Akama (work permit).
Accusing them of this, Azim Hossain of Noakhali said, I went to Saudi Arabia only two months ago. Police arrested me on my way to the market despite having three months visa in my passport. Police did not work with the convoy at that time. They sent me to the country.
Rahim Amin of Munshiganj, Feroz Hossain and Manik of Comilla, Mellon of Shariatpur, Moslem Uddin of Jessore district, Mehdi Hasan of Bogra and Rajib of Gazipur have filed the same complaint as Azim Hossain. Most of the 109 Bangladeshi who returned have said such situation.
Many of the workers returning to the country complained that the money was made to make Akama, but the convoy did not make Akama. When arrested by the police, the convoy is no longer communicating and does not take responsibility for the arrested personnel. So they are being sent back to the country. As usual, these migrants have returned with urgent assistance from the BRAC migration program.
Shariful Hassan, head of the BRAC immigration program, said the Saudi expatriates have been returning home in a state of poverty since last year. People who went a few months ago are also being sent. The embassy and the government will also have to look into the issues. The expatriates are worried about the future by selling land, VITA and returning to Saudi Arabia.
According to the relevant expatriate welfare desk, 25 thousand 789 Bangladeshis were repatriated from Saudi Arabia in 2019. In the first 16 days of the new year, 1,610 Bangladeshis returned.
