বিদ্যুৎস্পৃষ্ট হয়ে দগ্ধ হওয়া এক নবদম্পতি ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ (ঢামেক) হাসপাতালের বার্ন ইউনিটে চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় মারা গেছেন। গত সোমবার এক লাখ ৩৩ হাজার ভোল্টের তারে বিদ্যুৎস্পৃষ্ট হওয়ার পর তাদের ঢামেকে ভর্তি করা হয়েছিল। ভালোবেসে বিয়ে করার দুই মাসের মাথায় এই দুর্ঘটনার শিকার হন মাহাবুল ইসলাম (২৫) ও তার স্ত্রী রুনিয়া আক্তার খাদিজা (২০)।
গতকাল বৃহস্পতিবার ভোর ৪টার দিকে মাহাবুল ইসলাম ও সকাল ৬টার দিকে রুনিয়া মারা যান। মাহাবুল ইসলাম ময়মনসিংহের ফুলপুর থানার গোপপুর এলাকার আবুল কালামের ছেলে। তারা ফতুল্লার শাসনগাঁও এলাকায় মিজানুর রহমানের বাড়িতে ভাড়ায় থাকতেন। তারা দুইজনই বিসিক শিল্পনগরীতে পোশাক কারখানায় চাকরি করতেন।
