এবার দেশের বাজারে আসছে ২০০ টাকার নোট !!

জাতির জনক বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের জন্মশতবার্ষিকী উদযাপন উপলক্ষে দেশে প্রথমবারের মতো আগামী মার্চ মাসে বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংক বাজারে ২০০ টাকা মূল্যমানের নতুন নোট ছাড়তে যাচ্ছে। এ বিষয়ে শনিবার (২২ ফেব্রুয়ারি) কেন্দ্রীয় ব্যাংকের পরিচালক ও মুখপাত্র সিরাজুল ইসলাম বলেন, বাজারে প্রচলিত ১০, ২০, ৫০, ১০০, ৫০০ ও ১০০০ টাকার মতোই ২০০ টাকার নোট ছাড়া হবে।

In celebration of the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangladesh Bank is going to release new notes worth 200 rupees in the market in March for the first time in the country. Sirajul Islam, director and spokesperson of the central bank, said on Saturday (February 22), the same will be done in the market like Rs 10, 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1000 notes without 200 notes. Next month there will be two kinds of commemorative and conventional-200 notes, but from 2021 there will be only regular notes.

He said the initiative was taken to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation. Besides, Bangladesh Bank will release gold and silver commemorative coins worth Tk 100 as part of Bangabandhu’s birth anniversary celebrations. Sirajul Islam said that a special note on the occasion of Mujib will be written on the 200 rupee note. However, notes that will be without 2021 will no longer be written on them.
