চালের বস্তা মাথায় নিয়ে ক্ষুধার্তের দ্বারে র্যাব অফিসার !!
বহির্বিশ্বের পাশাপাশি ম’হা’মারী করোনা ভা’ইরাসের প্রাদুর্ভাব দেখা দিয়েছে বাংলাদেশেও। তা প্রতিরোধে সারাদেশে নানা কর্মসূচী গ্রহণ করেছে সরকার। এরই অংশ হিসেবে শ্রীমঙ্গলেও সচেতনতার পাশাপাশি বিভিন্ন মানবিক কর্মকাণ্ড পরিচালনা করছে স্থানীয় র্যাব। যার মাধ্যমে স্থানীয়সহ দেশবাসীর অকুণ্ঠ প্রশংসা কুড়িয়েছে বাহিনীটি এবং এর শ্রীমঙ্গল ক্যাম্পের কমান্ডার এএসপি মো. আনোয়ার হোসেন শামীম।
এ বিষয়ে আজ ২০ এপ্রিল নিজের ফেসবুক পেইজে এএসপি মো. আনোয়ার হোসেন শামীম ওরফে শামিম আনোয়ার মাথায় চালের বস্তাসহ একটি ছবি দিয়ে ‘নিজে কেন বহন করি’ শিরোনামে একটি লেখা পোস্ট করেন। পোস্টটি পাঠকদের জন্য হুবহু তুলে ধরা হলো-‘হাতে/কাঁধে/মাথায় খাদ্যসামগ্রীর বস্তা নিয়ে পায়ে হেঁটে যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থাহীন দুর্গম অঞ্চলের প্রকৃত ক্ষুধার্ত মানুষের দুয়ারে পৌঁছে দেওয়া- গত বেশ কিছুদিন ধরেই আমরা শ্রীমঙ্গল র্যাব ক্যাম্প পরিবার মোটামুটি পরিশ্রমসাধ্য এই কাজটি করে চলেছি।
অনেকেই জানতে চান, আমি একজন বিসিএস ক্যাডার অফিসার এবং র্যাবের কমান্ডার হওয়া সত্ত্বেও খাদ্যসামগ্রীর বস্তা নিজে বহন করি কেন? বোঝা নেওয়ার জন্য নিচের র্যাংকের লোকজন তো আছেই। আসলে এক্ষেত্রে আমার ভাবনাটা একটু ভিন্ন। আমি যদি আমার অধীনস্থ র্যাব সদস্যদেরকে বোঝা বহন করবার আদেশ দিয়ে নিজে খালি হাতে হাঁটতাম, তাহলে তারা হয়তো আমাকে স্বার্থপর একজন নেতা হিসেবেই চিহ্নিত করতো, যা তাদের কর্মস্পৃহা ও মনোবলকে নেতিবাচকভাবে প্রভাবিত করতো নিশ্চিত।
তাই প্রতিটি ক্ষেত্রে অধস্তনদের সমান ভার নেওয়া, চাল-ডালের বস্তা মাথায়/হাতে নিয়ে সবার সামনে সামনে চলাই আমার নেতৃত্ব দানের স্টাইল। কাঁধের র্যাংক দেখে নয়, কাজের মাধ্যমেই প্রমাণ হোক এখানে কমান্ডার কোন জন। অফিসাররা বোঝা মাথায় নিলে জাত চলে যাবে, বোঝা বহন করা শুধু নিচের র্যাংকের লোকদের কাজ- এমন অমানবিক ও মধ্যযুগীয় চিন্তাধারা করোনা ভা’ইরাসের সাথে সাথে পৃথিবী থেকে বিদায় হোক।’
গত ১৯ মার্চ রাতে শ্রীমঙ্গল চৌমুহনীতে স্থাপন করেন হাত ধোয়ার জন্য নিরাপদ কর্নার। ২০ মার্চ সকাল থেকে এই নিরাপদ কর্নারে গিয়ে শত শত মানুষ হাত ধুতে থাকেন। বিষয়টি দ্রুত গণমাধ্যমে ও সোস্যাল মিডিয়ায় প্রচার হলে বিভিন্ন জন সারাদেশে এমন উদ্যোগ নেন। যা দেশবাসীকে হাত ধোয়ার প্রতি সচেতন হতে সহায়তা করে।
জানা যায়, গত ২৫ মার্চ থেকে দোকান মালিক সমিতি সারাদেশে সকল দোকানপাট বন্ধ করে বাড়িতে অবস্থান করেন। আর ২৬ মার্চ থেকে বন্ধ হয়ে যায় যানবাহনও। বেকার হয়ে পড়েন পরিবহন শ্রমিকরাও। কয়েকদিন অতিবাহিত হওয়ার পর নিন্ম আয়ের মানুষগুলোর প্রয়োজন পড়ে খাদ্য সহায়তার। সরকার খাদ্য সহায়তার ঘোষণা দিলেও বিতরণের প্রস্তুতি নেয়ার পূর্বে কিছু কিছু পরিবারের খাদ্য সহায়তা একান্ত প্রয়োজন হয়ে পড়ে।
আর ঠিক সেই সময় কমান্ডার আনোয়ার হোসেন শামীম তার সাধ্যমতো খাবার নিয়ে হাজির হন সেইসব পরিবারে। বিষয়টি উঠে আসে গণমাধ্যমে। র্যাব শ্রীমঙ্গল ক্যাম্প কমান্ডার গরীব মানুষকে সাহায্য করছেন এটি শ্রীমঙ্গলে বেশ জোরেসোরে চাউর হয়। প্রতিনিয়ত গরিব মানুষের খবর আসতে থাকে তার কাছে। আর প্রতিদিনই সাধ্যমতো সাহায্যের হাত প্রশস্ত করেছেন তিনি।
গত বৃহস্পতিবার (২ এপ্রিল) সন্ধ্যারাত। মৌলভীবাজারের আকাশে তখন ঘন কালো মেঘ, বৃষ্টি- ঝড়ো হাওয়ার সাথে বিজলিও চমকাচ্ছে থেকে থেকে। বৃষ্টির কারণে বেশিরভাগ সংস্থার ত্রাণ তৎপরতাও গুটিয়ে নেওয়া হয়েছে, এ সময় শ্রীমঙ্গল র্যাব ক্যাম্পের কমান্ডার এএসপি মো. আনোয়ার হোসেন শামীম-এর নিকট খবর আসে যে, উপজেলার ঢুলিপাড়া বস্তি এলাকার অনেকগুলো সংখ্যালঘু পরিবার সারাদিন অভুক্ত অবস্থায় আছে। রাতেও সন্তান-সন্তুতি নিয়ে না খেয়ে থাকতে হবে খেটে খাওয়া এ মানুষগুলোকে।
সংবাদ পেয়ে ঝড়বৃষ্টির মধ্যেই দুর্গতদের নিকট ছুটে যান র্যাবের এই কর্মকর্তা। গাড়ি চলাচলের রাস্তা না থাকলেও তিনি ও তার সঙ্গীয় র্যাব সদস্যরা দুই হাতে ত্রাণের বস্তা বহন করে দীর্ঘ পথ পাড়ি দিয়ে বৃষ্টিতে ভেজা কাদাপানি মাখামাখি হয়ে অভুক্ত মানুষগুলোর নিকট পৌঁছান এবং মোট ১৫টি পরিবারের নিকট পৌঁছে দেন চাল, ডাল, তেলসহ নিত্যপ্রয়োজনীয় সামগ্রী। এসময় তিনি ভুক্তভোগী পরিবারগুলোকে সরকারি সাহায্য পাইয়ে দেয়ার আশ্বাসও দেন।
