কিশোরগঞ্জের ভৈরবে দুই থেকে তিন দিন বয়সী এক নবজতাক কন্যা ভিক্ষুকের কোলে রেখে পালিয়ে গেছে মা। শুক্রবার (২৪ জানুয়ারি) রাত ৮টার দিকে ভৈরব বাসস্ট্যান্ড দুর্জয়মোড়ের দক্ষিণপাশে বঙ্গবন্ধুর ম্যুরাল এলাকার ইসলাম ফার্মেসীর সামনে বসা এক মহিলা ভিক্ষুকের কাছে কৌশলে নবজাতকটিকে রেখে ওই মা পালিয়ে যায়।

খবর পেয়ে উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার লুবনা ফারাজানা নবজাতককে উদ্ধার করে উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার পরিকল্পনা কর্মকর্তা ডা. বুলবুল আহমেদ এর মাধ্যমে উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে ভর্তি করান। বর্তমানে শিশুটি সেখানে রয়েছে। স্থানীয় সূত্র জানায়, শুক্রবার (২৪ জানুয়ারি) রাত ৮টার দিকে ইসলাম ফার্মেসীর সামনে বসা ভিক্ষুক মহিলার কাছে কালো চাদর গায়ে জড়ানো এক যুবতী খাবার খেয়ে আসার কথা বলে নবজাতকটিকে দিয়ে যায়।

The child is currently under the care of the doctors and nurses of the hospital. In the second floor of the hospital, the relatives of a patient under the care of a female ward is caring for the child. Hospital sources said the baby will be two to three days old. In addition, the baby is healthy in his feet.

Bhairab police sub-inspector (SI) said. Mohsin said a young man named Ashraful brought the child to the police station. He then opened the incident and informed the incident to the Upazila Executive Officer after the GD was posted to the police station.

Bhairab Upazila Executive Officer Lubna Farzana said the child would be in the hospital for a while. When the office opens tomorrow, we will take action as per the court’s decision. Officials of the social services office will report the matter to Kishoreganj court tomorrow. “The child gave a call for adoption, but without the court’s permission, we cannot adopt,” she said. Arrangements will be made if the court orders him to be sent to childcare.
