হাওরে ধান কাটতে গেলো ৫০০ শ্রমিক !!

ধান কাটতে চট্টগ্রাম নগরীর বিভিন্ন এলাকায় বসবাস করা নিম্ন আয়ের শ্রমিকদের হাওর অঞ্চলে পাঠানোর উদ্যোগ নিয়েছে নগর পুলিশ (সিএমপি)। প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার আহ্বানে সাড়া দিয়ে পুলিশ এই কার্যক্রম শুরু করেছে ।প্রথম দিন রবিবার (১৯ এপ্রিল) পাঁচটি বাসে করে ১০০ জন শ্রমিককে কিশোরগঞ্জের অষ্টগ্রাম উপজেলায় হাওর অঞ্চলে পাঠানো হয়েছিল।

The city police (CMP) has taken initiative to send low-income workers living in different areas of Chittagong city to the haor area to cut paddy. Police launched the operation by responding to the call of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. On the first day, on Sunday (April 19), 100 workers were sent to the haor area in Ashtagram upazila of Kishoreganj.

On Monday (April 20), 500 workers left for Kishoreganj, Sunamganj and Habiganj on 19 buses for the second day. S Alam Transport has arrived at the request of police to deliver these workers to those areas. The workers are being taken by S Alam Paribahan bus.

CMP’s Assistant Commissioner (Chawkbazar Zone) Muhammad Raisul Islam said, “We have sent 100 workers on the first day.” The second day we are sending 500 workers to 19 buses. She said, we requested S Alam Transport. They have come forward. They are delivering these workers to the Hauer region without any rent at just the cost of oil.

On Sunday (April 19), 100 workers left for Chittagong on Sunday (April 19) to cut paddy in the haor area. These people will work as rice harvesting workers in haors in different areas of Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions. CMP Commissioner Md. Under the direction of Mahabubur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of South Zone SM Mehedi Hasan arranged for the workers to leave.
