করোনা ভা’ইরাসের সং’ক্রমণ ঝুঁকি এড়াতে বাংলাদেশে সাধারণ ছুটির সময়সীমা আরও এক সপ্তাহ বাড়ছে। ছুটি বাড়ানো সংক্রান্ত সুপারিশের সারসংক্ষেপ অনুমোদনের জন্য আজ মঙ্গলবার (২১ এপ্রিল) প্রধানমন্ত্রীর কাছে পাঠানো হয়েছে। প্রধানমন্ত্রীর অনুমোদন সাপেক্ষে বুধবার (২২ এপ্রিল) এ সংক্রান্ত প্রজ্ঞাপন জারি করা হতে পারে। জনপ্রশাসন মন্ত্রণালয় সংশ্লিষ্ট একাধিক সূত্রে এ তথ্য জানা গেছে।
In order to avoid the risk of coronavi’rus infection, the general holiday period in Bangladesh is being extended by one more week. A summary of the recommendations for extension of leave has been sent to the Prime Minister today (Tuesday 21 April) for approval. The notification may be issued on Wednesday (April 22), subject to the approval of the Prime Minister. This information has been known from multiple sources related to the Ministry of Public Administration.
According to sources, it has been recommended to extend the general holiday till April 30. With the addition of two days on Friday and Saturday, May 1 and 2, the holiday will increase till May 2. The government has declared a general holiday across the country since March 26 to prevent the spread of coronav’irus. The four-point holiday period was extended until April 25. 31 days leave.
According to Cabinet Department and Public Administration Ministry sources, leave will be increased considering the overall situation. Therefore, it is important to announce the extension of leave before the end of the current holiday period. Additional leave will be announced in the near future so that people do not make any preparations to come to Dhaka. Asked about the new extension, Minister of State for Public Administration Farhad Hossain told the media that a decision on extending the extension could be taken by noon tomorrow.
